Large fish look amazing in a freshwater aquarium. Whether they are centerpiece fish in a community tank, part of a huge aquarium setup, or have their own single-specimen tank all to themselves, a big fish always grabs your attention.

Typically, the bigger the fish, the more fussy they are about their environment and diet, so find out more about them before bringing any of these species home.

As a rule, the larger the fish, the more picky they are about their environment and nutrition, so before you bring such specimens home, find out more about them. If you have any little fish in the tank, they may become snacks since most big fish grow from eating smaller fish.
